Keralit has been selling hoof care products for over 30 years, since 1991 to be precise. Keralit was founded as a limited company in 1995 and is managed and owned by Dipl.-Ing. Florian Ruff.

Hoof problems with his own horses led Florian Ruff to take a closer look at the subject of horn and hooves. At that time, the prospective graduate engineer was still studying biomedical engineering at the University of Stuttgart. There, the student had the opportunity to take a closer look at the

The team behind Keralit

Florian Ruff, graduate engineer and managing director of Keralit, has been an enthusiastic horse expert since childhood. During his studies, he was already intensively involved with the subject of hooves. Today, he is one of the most sought-after experts for hoof problems and uses his extensive knowledge and experience to develop innovative solutions for horses and their owners. Lea Ruff, the owner's daughter, is also firmly integrated into the company. As an active horsewoman, she is responsible for handling orders, deliveries and Keralit's online presence. They are supported by a team of horse enthusiasts who are involved in the development, manufacture and marketing of the products.

When asked about the special features of Keralit products, the owner explains: "First of all, quite simply: Keralit products really work. Our conviction is that a care product must be better than good for its intended use, otherwise you simply don't need it. That's why we don't launch new products on the market every year just to be able to print the words "now NEW"."

For example, there was practically no advertising for Keralit Undercover, as the product was initially only intended for blacksmiths, hoof trimmers and vets. The
horse owners themselves then discovered Keralit Undercover at the farrier's and reported on their successes and experiences with thrush in forums. It is now sold in large quantities to horse owners via the equestrian trade.
