Keralit Frog Liquid a liquid, well-adhering frog care solution that is particularly suitable for problem areas of the hoof frog and white line. It counteracts horn decomposition processes while caring for and regenerating damaged, decomposed horn. Keralit Frog Liquid particularly suitable for softened and foul-smelling central and lateral frog furrows in cases of frog rot.

Keralit Frog Liquid prevents horn damage by neutralizing harmful influences from the stable bedding (ammonia) and keeping away microorganisms that are significantly involved in horn decomposition. The frog horn becomes firmer after 3 to 4 days of application and the frog furrows dry out. There are many thrush products on the market that contain ingredients such as copper sulphate, iodoform or antibiotics. Many ingredients do not have a sufficient spectrum of action for thrush to achieve long-term health of the horse's frog.

The function of the frog liquide is primarily based on a change in the environment that the horn-decomposing germs need in order to metabolize. These germs prefer an alkaline, warm, moist and anaerobic environment.

      Due to its thin consistency, the frog liquide can penetrate well and deeply into the frog clefts and fissured horn substance. Simply wetting the horn with the liquid is sufficient to achieve the full effect.

      The use of Keralit Strahl-Liquide makes the surface of the horn indigestible for germs. By tanning the upper, damaged horn layer, a change in the molecular structure of the horn is achieved. The enzymatic digestion of the germs then no longer matches the molecular structure of the protein (keratin) to be digested. In practice, the germs are deprived of their basis of life. The germ envelopes are also tanned, as they also consist of proteins. This means that existing germs cannot be encapsulated. In this way, the horse's frog can be protected and stabilized in the long term.
